The “UIU-CE SEMINAR SERIES” is a public forum for the discourse of academic research that encourages our students’ intellectual curiosity. We welcome experts from a variety of disciplines to give a venue where students can learn about the myriad research projects being conducted throughout the world.

On November 20, 2022 the Center for Consultancy, Training, Testing and Research (CCTTR), a concern of the Civil Engineering Department of United International University (UIU), organized a seminar on “Challenges and Management of Water Resources of Bangladesh: Role of Civil and Water Resources Engineers.” The key speaker was honorable Prof. Dr. Md. Ataur Rahman from Department of Water Resources Engineering, BUET.

The objective of the seminar was to provide the undergraduate students an insight into the Water Resource Engineering Industry and how as future engineers they can overcome the potential obstacles. Prof. Dr. Ataur Rahman presented the country’s major water challenges and key water resource engineering aspects including river training, erosion protection, dam construction and more. He urged the country’s future civil engineers to acquire the necessary knowledge and awareness of the country’s complex water-related issues. Students and faculty in huge numbers attended the lecture.
